About the Author
Jacquelyn Faranso Santo is the daughter of Catholic-Iraqi immigrants and a first generation American. Growing up in the Detroit metropolitan area, she witnessed her parents’ journey to build a life in the United States. Today, Jacquelyn is a DePaul University graduate, and a dedicated wife and mother of two. She now manages her travel concierge business while passionately pursuing her creative endeavors. The story she shares is a reflection of her mother’s journey to America, and the cultural mosaic that shaped her upbringing. “Sweet Dreams, Habibi” serves as a homage to her family and a tribute to the bravery, love and dreams that immigrant families bring with them on their incredible adventures.
